I accept Stackie Acceptable Use Policy version 2026.06.20.1, effective 2026-06-20 as part of the current Stackie legal document set. I represent that I am acting for trade, business, professional, freelance, employment, or organizational development purposes and not for personal, household, or consumer use unless Stackie Ltd expressly permits that use in a signed agreement, checkout flow, or product-specific consumer schedule.
Defined Terms
These Stackie-specific definitions supplement the document that embeds this section. If an incorporated Common Paper Standard Term, Cover Page, Key Terms, Order Form, signed agreement, or non-waivable law gives a capitalized term a different meaning for a specific agreement or notice, that more specific meaning controls for that agreement or notice.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Customer | The individual acting for business or professional development purposes, business, enterprise, organization, or other entity that accepts, accesses, or uses Stackie under the applicable agreement or notice. |
| Customer Content | Data, code, packages, configuration, instructions, logs, support materials, and other materials submitted to, stored in, or processed through Stackie by or for Customer. |
| Dashboard | Embedded, local, or hosted Stackie dashboard experiences covered by the applicable agreement or notice. |
| Local Software | Stackie Software installed or run on Customer-controlled systems, including local command-line, daemon, embedded Dashboard, package, update, support, and integration components. |
| Personal Data | Information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. |
| Protected Persons | Stackie Ltd and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, agents, successors, assigns, shareholders, and members. |
| Provider | Stackie Ltd, unless the applicable agreement or signed order form identifies a different provider for the covered offering. |
| Services | Stackie websites, applications, APIs, package delivery, documentation, support, hosted services, and related service components covered by the applicable agreement or notice. |
| Software | The software identified as Software in the applicable Cover Page, Key Terms, Order Form, EULA, signed agreement, or other accepted Stackie document. |
| Stackie | The Stackie products and services covered by the applicable agreement or notice, including Stackie websites, applications, command-line tools, daemon components, Dashboard experiences, cloud services, APIs, package delivery, documentation, support, and related services. |
| Stackie Cloud | Hosted Stackie services, including cloud APIs, package delivery, account management, billing workflows, subscriptions, support, hosted Dashboard experiences, and related hosted features. |
| Stackie Software | Stackie software provided by or for Stackie Ltd, including the stackie command-line application, the stackied daemon, embedded Dashboard components, local support components, update components, and related local software. |
| Usage Data | Operational, telemetry, diagnostics, analytics, provider-derived service metadata, and service-use data generated from access to or use of Stackie. This includes only bounded operational diagnostic categories disclosed in Stackie's current privacy and subprocessor materials and does not reclassify Customer Content as Usage Data merely because Customer Content appears in a diagnostic context. |
| User | An individual authorized by Customer to access or use Stackie, or an individual who otherwise accesses or uses Stackie under Customer's account, device, environment, authority, or control. |
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to Stackie Services, including Stackie websites, applications, command-line tools, daemon components, embedded Dashboard experiences, cloud services, APIs, package delivery, documentation, support channels, and any related service.
Prohibited Uses
Customer must not use Stackie to:
- violate law, regulation, sanctions, export controls, court orders, or third-party rights;
- send spam, malware, phishing, credential theft, deceptive communications, or abusive traffic;
- attack, scan, overload, interfere with, disrupt, or bypass Stackie systems, other users, or third-party systems;
- reverse engineer, scrape, harvest, exfiltrate, or collect data without authorization;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights;
- process data that Stackie is not designed or approved to handle, including sensitive regulated data, without written authorization;
- publish or transmit unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, hateful, exploitative, sexually explicit, or violent content;
- evade rate limits, billing, usage controls, package access controls, legal acceptance gates, or security controls;
- use Stackie for high-risk, safety-critical, regulated, or prohibited activities without Stackie Ltd's written authorization;
- resell, sublicense, rent, timeshare, or provide managed access to Stackie except as expressly permitted by a signed agreement.
Security Research
Customer must not perform security testing against Stackie systems, cloud services, package infrastructure, or other customers without written authorization. Good-faith reports can be sent to [email protected]. Security research must not access, alter, destroy, disclose, or exfiltrate data; degrade service; or violate law.
Enforcement
Stackie Ltd may investigate suspected violations and may suspend, throttle, block, remove content, disable integrations, revoke tokens, terminate accounts, preserve evidence, notify affected parties, or report conduct to authorities where reasonably necessary to protect Stackie, customers, third parties, legal compliance, or the public.
Customer Responsibility
Customer is responsible for Users, administrators, devices, credentials, local installations, configurations, Customer Content, and instructions. Customer must promptly stop and remediate any prohibited use occurring under Customer's account or control.
Claims and Remedies
Violations of this policy are Customer Covered Claims and Unlimited Claims to the fullest extent the applicable Terms, EULA, Cloud Service Agreement, order form, or signed agreement allows. Customer must indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Stackie Ltd and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, agents, successors, assigns, shareholders, and members from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, penalties, costs, and expenses arising from Customer's violation of this policy, Customer Content, Customer systems, unlawful instructions, deficient notices or consents, misuse, or violation of law or third-party rights, subject to non-waivable law and any signed agreement that expressly states otherwise.
Customer Covered Claims and Unlimited Claims refer to the liability and claim variables in the applicable Terms, EULA, Cloud Service Agreement, order form, or signed agreement, and those governing agreement definitions control how the claim terms apply.
Stackie Ltd's enforcement decisions, investigation steps, suspensions, throttling, removals, token revocations, terminations, evidence preservation, and reports to authorities are not service-level, support, warranty, availability, or damages commitments. Stackie Ltd may act or decline to act in its discretion to the fullest extent allowed by applicable law.
Changes
Stackie Ltd may update this policy prospectively. Immaterial, clarifying, administrative, legal, security, abuse-prevention, and operational updates may take effect on publication or notice where they are non-contractual or legally permitted without affirmative acceptance. Material changes to prohibited-use categories, remedies, suspension or termination rights, indemnity, unlimited-claim treatment, or other contractual obligations bind Customer only through a Stackie-approved recorded acceptance flow, signed agreement, checkout/order flow, installer, update gate, CLI gate, product gate, or new order where applicable law allows. Non-waivable law, a signed agreement, or Stackie's legal change classification may require affirmative consent before a specific change binds the affected Customer.
